Contract vs Ad-Hoc, what are the benefits?

post image

Happy Tuesday, and welcome to our new blog!  We’d like to kick off our new platform with a post about how moving to a fully supported contract from odd ad-hoc jobs can be a game-changer when it comes to IT support.

When you first start working with us on an ad-hoc basis, we take a reactive approach to your IT.  This means that we will wait for you to come to us with any issues that you come across.  However, once a contract is taken out, we move to a more proactive style of support.  Instead of letting you come to us with any issues you’ve got, we will start monitoring more regularly and finding the issues before you’ve even noticed them.

Another useful feature in a supported contract with us is the amount of customisation the contract offers.  You can choose the number of users that are supported, what type of support they receive (e.g., remote, full support, email only), as well as what add-ons are included.  Some things we can include are health checks to make sure your PC is running smoothly, on-site support, and much more.

When you move over to a fully supported contract with us, we offer a fast track to our engineers.  This fast track means that you will likely be put through immediately to an engineer – if this isn’t possible at the time, you will receive a response from one of our engineers within 2 hours!

We don’t want to keep you for too long, so we’ll wind things up here.  As a summary, our customers will get the best support service we can offer them, no matter if they’re ad-hoc or a fully supported contract customer.  While ad-hoc is great for smaller companies who are just starting out or for the businesses who don’t rely on their hardware too much, it can prove greatly beneficial to companies of any size to have an IT company on contract!
